Career Diagnosis™
Our process begins with the CareerDiagnosis,™ which we've developed in partnership with thousands of clients and more than 350 brand-name businesses, non-profits, and educational institutions since 1978.
This is an in-depth career and life assessment. After you complete this engagement, you will know more about yourself, your satisfiers, your needs, stress behaviors, and desires for the future. The purpose of the diagnosis is to assess, focus, and select a direction for the future. The Career Diagnosis™ consists of four components:
- Autobiography. Your life story helps us put future into the context of the past.
"Every live has a story," and we want your next step to make sense given your past. In other words, this career move should be a "Logical next step."
- Paper-and-Pencil Exercises. These are four (4) think-pieces designed to uncover evidence of what works for you and what doesn't work for you, and to gain insights about what would be an ideal career move.
- The Birkman Method. Developed over 60 years and used by more than 8,000 corporations, the
Birkman is the most advanced career and leadership assessment on the market. It is prescriptive, as well as descriptive, and saves time by eliminating options and possibilities. For example, some people should not be consultants or entrepreneurs, or should not own their own business. That is evident from the data.
- Career Alternatives. With your involvement, we compile the data collected in items 1-3 above to brainstorm possible good fits. Then we prioritize them to establish your future direction.
These four phases require engagement, effort, and input from you.
